Pop up show

In the beginning of December, a few of us from illustration major were invited to Pop up show in a gallery in Los Angeles city. This was my first group show ever since I started making art, so I was extremely exciting. Ben Sander, Ayumi Takahashi, Jane Lee, and Edward Cushenberry were also in the show. I had my illustration designs on table cloth, scarves, and gift wrapping for Christmas gift shoppers. It was super fun having a show with my amazing friends from art center.

Eszter is a young female illustrator based in Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Taipei city, Taiwan. She moved to Los Angeles when she was 13 until now. Her childhood memories and wondering became her inspiration and unique insight into art. She is fascinated with patterns, colors, flowers, fashion, fingers, legs, shoes, and the beauty of awkwardness. New York City Scene Plate Design

My favorite class in this term is the licensing class teach by Anne and Christine. Our first project is to design a series of plate illustration with NYC scene. Since it's a collection of four plates, I need think if something that customers will not wanna get them without any one of them four. I choose the category of fashion; however, I took Statue of Liberty as my concept and developed street fashion idea derived from it. Besides, I contain culture influences in NY such as famous artists like Keith haring, yayoi kusama, Milton glaser art as pattern to indicate NY. Very frustrating process but very exciting.

Egg

Beautiful new born

My hero

I know you'be been helpless and wordless
Things in life don't follow by what we want
You are not the flying fish, but u are the beautiful butterfly of Taiwan
We'd like to see u fly in the water
You've made the history witnessed by millions of Taiwanese eyes
So, you have nothing should say and nothing to lose
I prefer more ur truly smile than ur success

Notebook Illustration is fun

New Illustration

This is for Marie Claire Taiwan April Issue
For the article of "BIG PEOPLE" in London

As I chose to draw and paint the portraits,
I thought about the technique learned in
Drawing for Illustration class

I didn't know what it would come out like
but eventually I feel ok with it

I researched about each person and like something about them
that helped feel more into drawing them

I would really wanna explore more drawing and painting
more interesting portraits in concept-wise, presentation-wise,
and technique-wise
